Dr. Seward,
Enclosed in the accompanying (ooc: very padded, very sturdy) case are two vials retrieved from a laboratory that we believe to have been part of the "The Installation" chain I mentioned in my previous email. We have reason to believe that one is the actual virus, and the other is the cure (ooc: both are labeled). The installation was located here in Boston, and appeared to have been attacked approximately three weeks ago. We are sifting through data collected at the site as well, and will forward that information along to you as well asap.

GM Questions - Chris, assume that whatever answers the GM gives is forwarded onto you within hours of this email.
What exactly did they retrieve? Was it indeed a copy of the original virus and a cure?
What was included in the electronic records they brought back? Paper records?

SUBJECT: Chasing a lead

We've got a lead on Roger-from-Wyoming. From the sound of things, he's certainly a healer, even if he isn't our man. We're heading up to take a look tomorrow morning. We may be out of contact for a little while; he's set up out in the literal middle of nowhere, and I haven't a clue what the reception's like.

(Attached is a (grainy) copy of the park map, with relevant locations and trail indicated.)

- The Coast Guard did not have secret stores of giant missiles, and neither are they missing any large numbers of weapons. Marines have been assigned to retrieve the small arms and two bodies.
- JP and Tom broke a few boat engines and suggest that other boats in the infected zone likewise be disabled beyond repair, considering that they used ferries to cross, before.

- There are broadcasts reaching the Infected Zone giving instructions on survival and possible rescue, including something about markers to hang in windows.
- It isn't clear whether these broadcasts are coming from inside the IZ or outside.

Lab

• Find out what was in the vials recovered from the facility: get I and II to Seward, McCoy, etc.
• Sift through data on USB: information on Covax virus; information about Covax and fifty other staff members; original staff list on Covax virus project.
• Analyze the recovered drives.
• Talk to Janis to find out what happened at the labs.

Wyoming

Find the good Doctor. Have a little chat. 

Jack

Determine how he is accessing city cameras and private surveillance; work on shutting him out.

Creed

Capture
• At least four combat-capable agents should be involved in any hunt for Creed. Use Amber to find him.
• If Tom is along, all the better. Try to get information out of him even if we can't capture Creed. Find out who his boss is.
• The CDC & co should test his blood samples for the presence of antibodies.

Infected Zone

• Continue to extract people once cleanup and repair are completed.
• ADDITIONALLY: look for signs of organization or gatherings of infected.
• If you see intelligent infected in the field, dealing with them is a priority over rescue.
• Acquire GPS tracking tags. Tag intelligent infected so that we can track their movements and find out where they are gathering. (Shoot a little tag. Don't have to capture and release.)
• Get the locations of non-Creed mutants from Amber. Investigate.
• Look for weapons stores. Infected may be gathering nearby. Reclaim or destroy the weapons. Better we have than the infected, but better no one has them than they do.

Boston

• Determine where the radio broadcasts are coming from, listen to and analyze them. Find out what their instructions are, and what the marker is to make rescue easier.

Worst Case

• Research worst case scenarios. Firebombing would leave underground safe, gassing would drift.

DOING:

Elsa - Checking out former employees (the group of 50 or so)

IF THERE IS SOMETHING THAT YOU ARE DOING, PLEASE POST IN THE COMMENTS. Except for Creed hunting. Everyone wants to go skin a cat, so we'll probably do that a few times. Don't worry too much about multiple people working on things, otherwise, but spread things around a little, yeah?

- The staff that we encountered mentioned that the attack on the lab happened roughly three weeks ago. She did not say who. Evidence found by Nixe and Shadowcat backed up this statement.

- Drivers from one computer, computer files from another (including details on the Covax virus and The Installation itself), and paper files were recovered.

- After losing communication with Sach's team, Shadowcat took herself and Scryer below, after Nixe informed them that the other part of the cure was stored there.

- They were greeted by the voice of Jack, telling them to turn back. They politely refused.

- Unfortunately, Jack somehow had control over pathogens in the air ducts, which affected both Scryer and Shadowcat.

- The upstairs "cure" was passed on.

-Shadowcat, Scryer, Nixe and I took the ground floor, while Sachs' team headed downstairs.

-After examining several offices, Files and a USB stick full of possibly useful information was retained by our team. It has since been brought to analysis to be sifted through.

-Found one Janis Mayvorne, female, in the lab, still alive. Asked her about the Covax virus, she knew nothing. She was severly injured, and we called for medical.

-Janis told Shadowcat that all the cures were in the cold storage area. Shadowcat proceded into the storage area, and said she found part of the cure.

-Shortly thereafter, when radio communique with Sachs' team failed, Shadowcat used her powers to take herself and Scryer below, leaving myself and Nixe above. I had tried to offer to locate the others more precisely before she disappeared, but that offer wasn't accepted

-Due to lack of radio transmissions at that point with Shadowcat or Sachs' team, I do not know precisely what happened below, only having second-hand accounts.

-While I myself never laid eyes on the cure, I do believe that it was handed off to the proper people upon arriving back at base, with Shadowcat headed to the medical area.
